Roof: Both shingles and underlayment have been replaced on the church and parish hall. The tower roof has also be completely overhauled, and the appropriate rooster weathervane (gift of Gincy Bucklin) installed.
Gutters: Old, rotten gutters have been replaced, with run-off issues corrected.
Masonry: All buttresses have been rebuilt (they hold up the walls) and all exterior masonry has been washed and repointed.
Organ: Essential work has been completed on restoration of Hook & Hastings organ. Still to come, additional stops and cabinet work (if we can raise the money, hint, hint.)
Carillon: Electronic bells have been installed and dedicated to the ministry of our Rector, The Rev. Russell G. Ruffino.
Stained glass windows: The St. Elizabeth (over the altar), one of our Tiffany windows, has been cleaned, restored and protected. Two small windows flanking the door (one is Tiffany) have been cleaned, restored and protected. Still to come, the Rose window (over the door) and all the side windows.
Annex: Plans are finalized and have passed all zoning/planning boards. We’re waiting for a break in the weather to break ground. We estimate 6 months of construction time.
When finished, the Annex will supply:
* a new handicap accessible front entrance to the offices from Central St.;
* handicap access to the school building;
* a nursery;
* 4 new classrooms;
* 3 new bathrooms (two handicap accessible);
* a new food pantry;
* handicap accessible connection between church, offices and school building.
Stenciling: The restoration of water damage has not yet begun. This is scheduled for after the completion of the windows.
Alexis Boss Children’s Building: Both the bottom floor, used by the Preschool, and the second floor (Sunday School) need renovation.
New kitchen: Be patient. Once the projects already under way are completed, we can begin on this. We will need extra funding to complete this.
