Morning Prayer
Daily prayer is a recommended part of every Christian’s life as well as every Christian community. At St. Peter’s in addition to our regular Sunday morning communion services, we offer said Morning Prayer most Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 8:45.
Morning Prayer or Matins is a service of scripture readings, psalms and prayers recited by Christian people since before the fourth century. Originally said as part of the daily cycle of prayer in monastic community, morning prayer is now available to be said both in community and as part of a daily discipline at home.
Any one is welcome to join our clergy for this simple and intimate service held in the Church on weekday mornings.
(Those wishing to attend Morning Prayer, please plan to enter the building through the office entrance next to the Church.)
